Meet Mrs. Rebecka Gwin
Owner/ Director
Mrs. Rebecka began dancing at the age of three and soon developed a love for dance. She knew quickly that dance was something that would stay with her forever.
At the age of 13, she was accepted into Missy Crain's Perfoming Company, which is a prestigious competition team, in which she attended many dance conventions and competitions in various cities including nationals in Las Vegas. Because of her competition team, she had the opportunity to learn from world-reknowned teachers and choreographers. Mrs. Rebecka was also accepted into the Twin City Ballet Company where she served as company member for four years. She then joined Louisiana Delta Ballet Company founded by her personal dance teacher, Missy Crain. Mrs. Rebecka joined LDB as principal dancer and had the opportunity to perform many lead roles as well as attending Regional Dance America Southwest Festival. Thanks to LDB, Mrs Rebecka was taught by some of the best instructors and choreographers and had many opportunities to learn and perform amazing ballets, lead roles, and pas de deux roles.
Mrs. Rebecka began assisting her dance teachers at the age of 16 then was promoted to dance instructor at the age of 18. Thankfully, because of the opportuinity to study dance instensively and teach regulary, she found her teacher's heart.
Mrs. Rebecka founded A Time To Dance in the fall of 2010. ATTD is a labor of love and passion and it is her mission to help dancers in her area find their love for dance as well.
Mrs. Rebecka is 38 years old, married to her supportive husband, Kevin Gwin, and has two beautiful daughters who also share her love for the art of dance.
It is the goal of ATTD to offer quality dance training for Richland and West Carroll parishes.
Mrs. Rebecka is also the Artistic Director for Parish Ballet Company. PBC in a non-profit pre-professional dance company housed at A Time To Dance Studios.
